Bookkeeping clerks, also known as bookkeepers, often are responsible for some or all of an organization's accounts, known as the general ledger. They record all transactions and post debits (costs) and credits (income). They also can produce basic financial statements and other reports for supervisors and managers.

Elderly Bill Paying and Monitoring Service

One of the services we provide is an elderly or senior bill paying service. JRW's Bill Paying Service can provide a bookkeeper come to your home or your elderly parents home to help organize, open mail, write checks to pay bills and create orderly files for paperwork.

A common concern if you have an elderly parent that chooses to continue to live on their own is: Are they remembering to pay their bills? More to the point, are they sometimes paying the same bill twice or even three times? Are they keeping track of the balance of their checking accounts correctly? The last thing you want to learn is that your parents electricity, water or phone has been turned off due to nonpayment of the bill or because their check bounced.

We can provide a weekly, bimonthly or monthly as needed service at their home to make sure all the bills get paid on time and assure them that this task has been taken care of. We reconcile their checking accounts, monitor their credit card accounts and watch for any suspicious activity.

We'll write the checks, explain which bills are being paid and the client will review and sign the checks themselves. This gives our senior clients and their children comfort in knowing these matters need not cause worry.
